How can you make money with google adsense?
In case you are new to the internet, I will explain first what google adsense is and then go into more detail about how to make money with it.
You have probably noticed that many web sites have small adverts on them and the words ‘google ads’ appear near them. If you look at some of the articles on this site for instance, you will see some of these ads. These ads are sometimes placed down the side of a site’s page, other times they may appear in amongst the text on the page.
Basically, every time a visitor to a web site clicks on one of those ads to find out more, the site owner (you) will make money with google adsense regardless of whether the visitor then makes a purchase. You get paid just for the click. The amount you get paid is small (a few cents or a few dollars) and varies according to the value of the keywords used in the ad, but imagine if you have a site that has thousands of visitors a day...
For instance, you are likely to earn more per click on ads with the words ‘make money’ (a very competitive keyword) than for ads whose keywords are ‘holidays in the arctic’. You get my drift. It’s a complicated area and you need to do lots of research to understand the finer points of this aspect of adsense.
However even if you don’t understand it, this won’t stop you making money. You just may not make money with google adsense as much as someone who has done their homework!
The key is, to have a web site that attracts lots of visitors because the more visitors you have obviously the more clicks you are likely to get. So, if you build a successful web site (visit the section on this site about the best ways to do this) you can make a great passive income just from the adsense ads on your site alone.
You can also make money with google adsense ads that you place on your blog if you don’t want your own website. See blog section for more about this.
Don’t ever click on your own ads though as Google track it and will ban you! They will also ban you if all your friends keep clicking on them! So, as with all aspects of making money, keep it honest and ethical and you will win in the end.
